Dublinesque
'Dublinesque' is a celebration of Dublin, Ireland in song and story. This new show is produced and presented by Irish singer-songwriter / pianist Eamonn Flynn (The Commitments, Maria Muldaur, Elvin Bishop, The Black Brothers) and is a fascinating mix of music, songs and stories. You will enjoy a portrait of Dublin through the years in an engaging performance rich in humour and soul. Along with old standards and original new songs, this performance features lively instrumental tunes on fiddle, accordion, banjo and piano. The show takes a memorable glimpse into the past and present of Ireland's capital. Meet a cast of her characters through the years - from street poets to ladies of the night, rebels to street traders, the nobility to the denizens of Dublin's infamous tenements. Through it all the indomitable spirit, pride, and wit of Dublin not only perseveres but triumphs.
Led by Eamonn Flynn on vocals and piano, Dublinesque features Darcy Noonan on fiddle, Hector Bragado on banjo and Felim Egan on accordion and bodhran.

The Quitters
A guitar duo of right-side up finger picking (Stevie Coyle) and upside down flat picking (Glenn Houston), The Quitters deliver a performance spiced with humor and serendipity.
The Quitters return to OCA for a special afternoon performance in our amphitheater!
A quote from the Strawberry Music Festival: “Stevie Coyle and Glenn Houston make up the dynamic guitar duo, The Quitters. Having each quit some of the best bands in the business, both are late founding members of The Waybacks and each have performed at Strawberry in other configurations. Stevie Coyle has a long and illustrious career as an entertainer that began well before birth and Glenn Houston's well decorated history in music is best known to berry heads for his founding role of powerhouse Americana quintet, Houston Jones. As individuals, both are renowned players in music circles. Now they have joined forces, to the delight of California audiences, to become a right-handed, right-side up fingerpicking and left-handed upside down flatpicking twosome. Mostly acoustic. Some electric. Much serendipity.”
Tickets for this event are $30 GA and $25 for OCA members. This event will be held in our amphitheater - please bring your own seat cushion or low back chair.
